Abstract: In this paper we are modified the coal handling method for small or medium scale plant which is used in small or medium scale organization. In coal handling plant (CHP) if we use the low grade coal that is imported type coal, this coal is found in powder form as well as in large scale form. But in boiler we use the pulverizing method to feed the coal in boiler from coal bunker to furnace in size of 10mm to 20mm. But it is not possible to feed large scale coal to furnace. So we use the crushing method. So this method is explained in this paper.

Abstract: This article aims is developing a mechanism for easy transportation of heavy loads over uneven terrain. The need for such a system arises from day-to-day requirements in our society. Devices such as hand trolleys are used to relieve the stress of lifting while on flat ground; however, these devices usually fail when it comes to carrying the load over short height.Several designs were conceived that would allow a non-industrial hand trolley to travel over stairs, curbs, or uneven terrain while reducing the strain on the user. In our project the trolley is consisting the tri-wheel or tri-star mechanism eases the movement of trolley in irregular surfaces like holes, bumps, etc

Abstract: The aim of this project is to design an Accident Prevention System whichhelps in preventing/avoiding accidents. Accident due to cause of drowsy is preventedand controlled when the vehicle is out of control. The accidents due to thedrowsy state of the driver is prevented using automatic breaking system by using eye blink sensor. The term used here for the realization that the driveris drowsy is by using eye blink sensor of the driver. In recent times drowsiness is oneof the major problem of  highway accidents. These types of accidents occurredcaused by drowsy and driver cant able to control the vehicle, when the driver wakes. The drowsiness is indented by the eye blink closure and blinking frequency through infrared sensor worn by driver by means of spectacles frame or IRS. If thedriver is drowsy, then the system will give buzzer and the speed of thevehicle is reduced in 3 to 5 sec.

Abstract: Double skin facade systems and its categories illustrates narrow fully sealed assemblies of systems which includes operable external louvers or shading devices. They all possess an inner and outer layer or glazed skin. For a period of time now the use of DSF have increased due to their relevant usage and profit with respect to their possession of increased energy efficiency and daylighting improvement. The paper will focus on the evaluation of double skin façade system for sustainable development in different climatic zones. An overview of the DSF literature illustrating the different types of double skin façade was carried, case studies  of different DSF types was carried in different buildings in different locations namely; Eurotheum  Frankfurt Germany, Seattle America and  the Aurora Place, Sydney Australia. Then analysis from the finding and discussions yield out the possible recommendations derived from the basic benefits and advantages of the DSF which includes; reduce heating demand, Providing Views, Control solar gain, thermal, insulation ,enhanced security, allowing natural ventilation, Serves as pollution barrier, reduced artificial lightening m-Increased building life span, Improve occupants comfort, future proofing, providing emergency egress, acoustic protection etc. Then its disadvantages mainly is the initial cost of construction and space consumption. Therefore possible recommendation entailing the proper studying of different climatic zones in which the preferred DSF will be used was suggested so as to enhance further research and the technological advancement of the use of the DSF which was the concluding  view point.

Abstract: This work focused on the design and fabrication of a groundnut shelling and separating machine electrically powered by a 1hp motor. The machine has the capacity of shelling 400kg of groundnut per hour with a shelling and separating efficiencies of 95.25% and 91.67% respectively. The machine was fabricated from locally sourced materials, which makes it cheap and easily affordable and also easy and cheaper to maintain. It is also of light weight and comprises of the hopper, crushing chamber, separation chamber and the blower unit. During the process of testing, it was observed that majority of the groundnut pods that came out unshelled or partially shelled were the ones with one seed per pod and those with two small seeds in their pods.

Abstract: This project is based on suspension system of an two wheeler. This report gives information about magnetic suspension system. The aim of this project is to study and investigate the response of system, when it is subjected to road surface irregularities with the hope that it would help automobile industry. This project presents design, construction and working of magnetic suspension system. This system uses electromagnets as passive dampers, which is used to reduce displacement and acceleration of sprung mass in order to improve ride comfort. By using this type of absorber we can absorb the more number of shocks and variations are absorbed with the more accuracy. This type of Suspension has no problem of leakage of oil like hydraulic shock absorber.  Also this has less maintenance than other types of shock absorber that we can made this type of shock absorber for the efficient work of vehicle and for reducing the maintained cost of vehicle.

Abstract: Effect, design and installation of turbo charger si engine is available in this paper. Turbo charger in two wheeler which increase efficiency of engine. Supercharger works on engine power while turbo charger works on exhaust gases. We aim to increase to volumetric efficiency of Honda shine bike of 125cc and also emission from engine can be control. Small modification is done on vehicle to improve efficiency and control emission.

Abstract: Cooling tower are an integral components of many refrigeration systems, providing comfort or process cooling across a broad range of application. They are the point in the system where heat is dissipated to the atmosphere throughout the evaporative processes, and are commonly used in industries such as oil refining, chemical processing, power plants, where process cooling is required. They are also commonly used to provide comfort cooling for large commercial buildings including airport, office building, conference centre, hospital, and hotel etc. This project concerns with the efficiency improvement of cooling tower. In this project we suggested the methods to improve the efficiency of cooling tower .The first method is to remove the scaling deposited on the cooling tower .The another method is to improve the efficiency by improving the water quality by various water treatment processes. Then we also use the effective fill design than current fill design of cooling tower.

Abstract: As the energy is the heart of the technology it affects the price of product as well as the overall economy of the industry. Energy is the most important factor in industrial production as well as in the domestic use echo-friendly system as it uses solar power. As sun is the huge source of energy solar energy is the perfect alternative for some energy sources such as electricity, petroleum. In India the large part of the solar energy is wasted because of lack awareness about the solar energy. Mostly the solar energy is used to dry the food grains and mostly to dry the cloths. But last few years are the most memorable years for the India from the last few years most of the peoples decide to install the solar units.
We are focusing on the need of the alternatives for the conventional energy source. We are using the “SOLAR CHAIR” operated by using solar power, In this we are using solar energy as working fluid. system consist of solar panel, battery, control circuit, converter and USB ports when sun rays come in contact with the solar panel it absorbs most of the solar energy in it after that the energy is used to charge the battery. And that energy we can use for multipurpose like mobile charging, laptop charging, music system, and lights at night.

Abstract: The development of spherical multi nozzle fire extinguisher technology has made substantial progress over the last decade. Water mist based techniques are becoming popular but the fire extinguishment products call for high initial investment. There exists a need to develop cost effective water mist generation techniques appropriate for fire suppression. A standard portable water-CO2 _re extinguisher nozzle is selected for study with an application density of 1.0 l/min/m2.A multi-jet nozzle with opposed jet configuration is developed to get improved spray characteristics. Droplet Stouter Mean Diameters (SMD) were empirically calculated using correlations available in the literature. The spray developed has resulted in droplets with SMD in the range of Water is the most cost effective reagent for fire extinguishment. Water in the form of jets/sprays is used for _re suppression. Water dispensation at an optimal rate is essential to improve effectiveness of utilization and also protect the fire affected regions from the ill effects of water inundation in the post _re scenario. Several studies exist in the literature aimed at improving the utilization efficiency of water during _re suppression. Breaking up water jets into particles improves surface area available for heat absorption but smaller particle mass reduces penetration of water into fire. Mist based extinguishers are available in the market which claim lower water consumption but they are prohibitively expensive and therefore their availability for use is restricted. Even to this day, the own rates employed in Class-A _re extinguishers available in the market utilize large application densities to ensure effectiveness in extinguishment.

Abstract: This project work titled “THREE AXIS PNEUMATIC MODERN TRAILER” has been conceived having studied the difficulty in unloading the materials. Our survey in the regard in several automobile garages, revealed the facts that mostly some difficult methods were adopted in unloading the materials from the trailer. The trailer will unload the material in only one single direction. It is difficult to unload the materials in small compact streets and small roads. In our project these are rectified to unload the trailer in all three sides very easily. Now the project has mainly concentrated on this difficulty, and hence a suitable arrangement has been designed.  Such that the vehicles can be unloaded from the trailer in three axes without application of any impact force. By pressing the Direction control valve activated. The compressed air is goes to the pneumatic cylinder through valve. The ram of the pneumatic cylinder acts as a lifting the trailer cabin. The automobile engine drive is coupled to the compressor engine, so that it stores the compressed air when the vehicle running. This compressed air is used to activate the pneumatic cylinder, when the valve is activated.

Abstract: A Zero Energy Building (ZEB) is a residential or commercial building that consumes its required energy from sources that are renewable with less energy consumption through the use of efficient technologies such that the balance of energy needed can be supplied with renewable technologies. In this paper four samples of existing building in two different climates (temperate and tropic) will be examined to explore the strategic differences of zero energy buildings in these climates.
The paper will analyze the zero energy buildings in terms of climatic differences, the strategies used in each of these climates. Four well documented cases studies from two different regions of the world are studied, in terms of their floor types, window systems, façade design and Passive design orientation. The findings from these case studies will be used to identify the large difference between these buildings.

Abstract: Pipeline is a popular option for long distance transport of materials such as oil, gas, water and solid capsules etc. Almost in all industries pipelines are vital part of fluid transport. In cities and towns they are used to carry sewage water. Any defect in pipeline cause either losses or hazard to the surrounding area. So disciplined pipe inspection and maintenance are necessary steps to maintain pipelines. Using man power for inspection of pipelines may claim many lives or cause permanent injuries. In such cases, use of robot is beneficial for inspection. In this review paper, we have discussed different options to detect cracks, corrosion or third party damages in the pipelines.

Abstract: The use of alternative energy in buildings is getting to a critical stage in the construction projects with the need of having sustainable  building designs with energy efficiency and increasing  the use of renewable energy sources in constructions i.e. wind energy, solar energy and heat pumps.
Photovoltaic systems have become an alternative in the energy efficiency of buildings, for this reason less energy consuming buldings using solar energy as an alternative in designs are increasing, and tends to provide solutions to energy problem and also lifecycle maintenance in building projects.
Photovoltaic systems integration in buildings have increase the performance through the utilization of some building components for energy generation i.e. use of standing solar panels , integration of PV cells in windows, roofs and  facades of building .
For this reason, this paper will compare some modern building with photovoltaic integrated facades, explore the method of application of photovoltaic cells on façade, efficiency of the generation and a critic of the general use of photovoltaic integrated facades. Result of this work will encourage designers on specifications and integrations of such methods on their building projects. 

Abstract: Machining processing industries have continuously developed and improved technologies and processes to transform _finished product to obtain better super finished product quality and thus increase products. Abrasive machining is one of the most important of these Processes and therefore merits special attention and study. The objective of this work was to design, develops, evaluate, and demonstrate for use in the abrasive machining of metal Components, shaft keys, unfinished metal products. This study focused on belt abrasive Machining processes and included substantial background work, which provided a solid Base under tanding of the behavior of the abrasive and the different ways that the abrasive Machining process can be monitored. In addition, the background research showed that the abrasive belts can electively be cleaned by the appropriate cleaning technique. Thus, the system is able to super finish the shaft keys, coupling keys etc.

Abstract: Nanotechnology is concerned with the materials and systems whose structures and components reveal novel and significantly improved physical, chemical, and biological properties, phenomena, and processes due to their micro size. Workforce development is needed to achieve the benefits of nanotechnology development along with technology transfer. The intensity should be on hands-on educational experiences by developing nano-tech laboratory demonstration experiments that could be adaptable and combined into existing courses in engineering and engineering technology. Theoretical heat transfer rates were calculated using existing relationships in the literature for conventional fluids and nano fluids. Experiments were conducted to determine the actual heat transfer rates under operational conditions using nanofluids and the heat transfer enhancement determined compared to fluids without nanoparticles.

Abstract: since last two decades ample amount of research work has been done in order to develop power train systems such that they reduce power losses in the vehicle. Comfort ride is one of the important concerns in a passenger car. Continuously variable transmission (CVT) is a solution for it. The CVT provides continuously varying combinations of gear ratios within fixed limits that save fuel and give a better performance of vehicle that comply with the operating conditions of engine. This paper deals with a research on the control of friction- limited CVT. As the growth in advancement of CVTs continues the car performances shall keep improving and the costs shall also depreciate. A few critical issues and difficulties in this system are also mentioned.

Abstract: The nature of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems of a building, its facade and the system controlling them plays a great role and affects the natural ventilation of the building envelope.
It was reported that about 10–60% of energy consumed by a building is caused by HVAC systems Depending on the building type.
However, the Double Skin Facade in now widely known to be a means of conserving the wasted energy through design of intelligent buildings.
The main aim of this paper is to outline the different systems of the Double Skin Façade systems, examine their characteristics and functions, their advantages and disadvantages and finally the Integration with HVAC System. It will also present recent researches carried out by different authors in relation to the subject. Furthermore, relevant software used for simulation of the Double Skin Facade–HVAC systems Integration and the building envelope in general will be outlined. There is a need for practicing Architects and other related engineers to in-cooperate it in their designs from the design stage since it is a complex subject that needs a careful understanding according to the different individual climatic factors. Finally, it was concluded that building efficiency can be achieved through integration by reducing building’s energy consumption.

Abstract: A good design of car bumper must provide safety for passengers and should have low weight. Different countries have different performance standards for bumpers. Under the International safety regulations originally developed as European standards and now adopted by most countries outside. After the impact on the bumper all the control systems and signing system should be in working conditions.  It must  also  withstand  static  and  dynamic  loads  without  undue  deflection  or  distortion.  The  given  model is tested  under  frontal collision  conditions  and  the  resultant  deformation  and  stresses  are  determined  using  hyper  works  software. Automotive development cycles are getting shorter by the day. With increasing competition in the marketplace, the OEM’s and suppliers main challenge is to come up with time-efficient design solutions. The design should be such that, it ensures the passenger safety; the design should be cost effective also. Researchers are trying to improve many of existing designs using novel approaches. Bumpers are fixed on the front and on the back side of a car and serve as its protection.  They  reduce  the  effects  of  collision  with  other  cars  and  objects  due  to  their  large  deformation  zones.  The bumpers are designed and shaped in order to deform it and absorb the force (kinetic energy) during a collision. Many times there is conflicting performance and cost requirements, this puts additional challenge with R&D units to come up with a number of alternative design solutions in less time and cost compared to existing designs. These best solutions are best achieved in a CAE environment using some of the modern CAD and FEM tools. Such tools are capable of effecting quick changes in the design within virtual environment.

Abstract: The Engine exhaust is the major source for contributing noise in automobile. There are many challenges in designing the muffler system as size, engine back pressure, noise level, emission norms and also cost. Sufficient insertion loss at engine frequency and first few harmonics are important. Recent efficient muffler systems are designed considering linear plane wave theory using transfer matrix method. Development of fibrous material strands that is used in hot exhaust system without binders has led to use of combination of muffler and exhaust system. Particulate matter filters and air cleaners also modified acoustically. For all these to happen exhaust muffler designers need simple and fast modeling tool, especially at the initial stages. FEM and Boundary element methods are time consuming. This paper is about plane wave based models such as transfer matrix method that has advantage of building fast prototype for muffler design, find out transmission loss and compared with experimental setup.

Abstract:  Spherical drive system is a relatively new field of research, and it holds a lot of potential due to a ball’s ability to be holonomic and rebound from collisions. In order to provide propulsion to such a completely closed sphere several methods have been put forward by different researchers. This article aims at putting together a definitive and complete list of the limitations of every propulsion system, so that future product designers and researchers may be able to decide on which propulsion system suits their purpose. This article will also help future researchers to identify and therefore find ways to overcome these limitations.
