Abstract: Owing to unavailability of information to ward off the usual resources loss due to failure associated with using unfit veneered engineered wood (plywood) products in Nigerian economy with respect to their strain and deformation at load for various needs, technical insights relevant to prevent such loss was investigated. Prepared and subjected to test as required by a universal testing machine (UTM), the testometric testing machine were the three most sought after following their identification.  From the generated data, chats on Strain at Break (%) and Deformation at Break (mm) of the samples were ensued by computer program. From statistical analysis, Viewpoint ability to elongate at break is 119.51% and 289.49% better than that of Caledonian and Plywood EQ respectively while Caledonian elongation at break potential over Plywood EQ is 78.32%.  Again, in an ascending order of their Deformation at Break (%) for the samples, Plywood EQ attained deformation at break of 8.199mm, Caledonian attained deformation at break of 14.624mm while Viewpoint attained deformation at break of 31.937mm. Empirically also, dynamics of the deformation at break exhibited analogous pattern to strain, where Viewpoint ability to resist deformation at break is 118.39% and 289.52% better than that of Caledonian and Plywood EQ respectively. Caledonian deformation resistance at break potential over Plywood EQ is just 78.36%. This sustainable avant-garde technical data forms a valuable asset by stakeholders like civil engineers, mechanical engineers, contractors and biomedical engineers. Strain at break and deformation at break research works of other engineered wood products not yet available form future research works.

Abstract: India’s aspiration to become a developed nation by 2047 popularly articulated as Viksit Bharat 2047marks a transformative national vision aligned with economic prosperity, social inclusion, environmental sustainability and global leadership. Central to this vision is innovation-led development, which emphasizes the strategic integration of technology, policy reform, institutional capacity and grassroots participation to accelerate inclusive growth. This article examines how innovation functions as a critical driver for achieving Viksit Bharat 2047 by analysing policy frameworks, development practices, sectoral strategies and institutional mechanisms. Drawing on national initiatives such as Start-up India, Digital India, Skill India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, NIPUN Bharat and the National Innovation Ecosystem, the study explores innovation across agriculture, industry, health, education, governance, human capital and sustainability. The article identifies key challenges including regional disparities, digital divides, skills mismatch and governance constraints, while proposing actionable strategies such as decentralized innovation systems, public–private partnerships and mission-oriented policy design. By situating innovation at the intersection of economic growth, social equity and environmental resilience, the article argues that India’s journey towardsViksit Bharat 2047 depends not merely on technological advancement but on systemic, inclusive and sustainable innovation pathways.

Abstract: In this study, the toxic effect of cyclophosphamide (CYP) on sperm morphology, testicular histology and oxidant–antioxidant balance, and protective roles of Urtica dioca (UD) was investigated. For this purpose, 25 healthy, adult, male albino rats were divided into five groups; five animals in each group. The control group was treated with placebo, the disease control was treated with CYP 10mg/kg body weight, the remaining groups were treated with UD 1000mg/kg only, CYP 10mg/kg + UD 500mg/kg and CYP 10mg/kg + UD 1000mg/kg for 14days. At the end of the experimental period, body weight of the animals were checked, all the groups were sacrificed blood samples collected and organs harvested for histopathological analysis after which the enzymatic and non-enzymatic stress biomarkers, hormone profile, inflammatory markers, heamatological indices, hepatic-renal functionality biomarkers, lipid profile levels, morphological abnormalities of sperm and testicular histopathological changes were examined. CYP induced decrease in testicular activities of catalase (CAT), superoxide dismutase (SOD), reduced glutathione (GSH) and glutathione peroxidase (GPx) level, whereas levels of malondialdehyde (MDA) increased markedly and was confirmed by histopathological result. Serum levels of testosterone, FSH and LH were considerably reduced. Co-treatment with UD, ameliorated the biochemical changes in the testis, improved the hormone levels and alleviated the histological injury. CYP-induced lipid peroxidation lead to the structural damages in spermatozoa and testicular tissue of rats, and UD have shown to have a protective effect on these types of damage.

From statistical analysis, Sinoply ability to elongate at break is 544.89% and 507.44.89% more than that of Dabar and Joubert respectively thereby placing Sinoply at an advantage position. Joubert elongation potential over Dabar is just 6.16%. Empirically also, dynamics of the deformation at break exhibited analogous pattern, where Sinoply ability to deform is 544.58% and 506.98% more than that of Dabar and Joubert respectively. Joubert deformation potential over Dabar is just 6.19%. This novel technical insight when leveraged on can prevent loss of revenue associated with such failures as it can be utilized by engineers, building contractors, construction companies as well as furniture makers. Biomedical and mechatronics engineers can as well tap on this knowledge. Future research in this area should be geared towards other engineered wood product.
