Abstract: Many states worldwide have enacted laws and regulations to promote and protect the rights of women and female children. In Kurdistan, particularly at the family level, women possess limited rights compared to men. Typically, the head of the family, who is often a man, dictates the family's operation. Women in Kurdistan, like their counterparts in many parts of the world, can assert their right to equality before the law, freedom from discrimination, and certain economic, social, and cultural rights.

Therefore, a significant portion of this study will focus on assessing the Education Law in Kurdistan. The study aims to identify the extent to which national legislation corresponds to the CEDAW convention. Our analytical instrument will be Article 10 of CEDAW, which centers on women's education rights. The primary findings of this study indicate that there are no substantial legal discriminations disadvantaging women. However, the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has not adopted any mechanisms to enforce the law."

Abstract: The history of education is long and traces back past events that are real bearing witness of what people compare with. Peace building initiatives have been used to settle differences between people, communities and nations around the world. The study purposed to understand the role education can and has played to counter violent extremism in Kenya.  The study explores education as a facilitator, initiative builder and peace maker. Cultural, religious and ethnic factors have been studied and critique done for change. Security and education reforms heve been found wanting to reinforce what education can do. The study concludes that education though essential require other parameters to succeed in peace building and therefore recommend that; national policies require reaffirmation; the global community to hasten campign and advocacy on peace and individual nations including Kenya to address peace building initiatives among her communities.

Abstract: To identify the characteristics and outcomes of peer-reviewed literature on the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in assessing speech, language, and voice disorders (SLVDs) published in English from 2000 to 2024, we conducted a scoping review following the Arksey and O’Malley framework. Several databases were searched for peer-reviewed journal articles using the terms "artificial intelligence," "language," "speech," and "voice disorders" in their abstract or title. A total of 21 articles were included. Key findings are as follows: 1. All papers were published within the past five years. 2. Each of the 21 reviewed articles found AI to be an efficient tool for assessing SLVDs. 3. Notably, geographical and research design gaps were identified. 4. It was observed that AI has not been applied to evaluate some aspects of speech-language disorders (SLDs). Additionally, the review underscores advancements and limitations in utilizing AI for diagnosing SLVDs. It stresses the necessity for more extensive research, especially in underrepresented regions and disorders. The review advocates for inventive strategies in crafting culturally sensitive AI models and broadening the AI research scope to maximize its potential in comprehending and assessing communication challenges.

Abstract: This research assessed the influence of teaching strategies towards student’s competences in Rwandan public secondary schools. Specifically, the study has to examine the current status of teaching strategies and students ‘competences in mathematics from selected Rutsiro Public Secondary Schools. The study intends to assist teachers to improve their teaching strategies that directly empower students’ competences. The researcher used descriptive survey design for the first and the second research question and the correlation research design was used to find the relationship between the variables, where both quantitative and qualitative approaches were used, as well as questionnaires and guided interview to collect data. The survey was involving 132 Mathematic learning students that were sampled by using simple and stratified random sampling techniques from 440 mathematic learning students aged eighteen and above. And seven mathematics’ teachers, seven Head of schools in public secondary schools that teach mathematics in A ‘level in the schools of Rutsiro district which was sampled purposefully. The confirmed that learning Mathematics helps them to solve problems in daily life as it was confirmed by 35% responded strongly agree and 38.6% responded agree. The same teachers confirmed that the use of ICT in teaching mathematics motivates learners in effective learning of mathematics and this is confirmed by 42.8% that responded strongly agree, 28.6% responded agree. The relationship between teaching strategies and students’ competences in Mathematics showed that the regression a coefficient of the group learning of mathematics not statistically significant in explaining critical thinking and problem solving except the use of ICT in learning mathematics. The researcher recommended that the ministry of education that should work hand in hand with different stakeholders in education so that a lot of effort be put in learning science especially mathematics.

Abstract: Hawking sector is faced with various security implications such as conflicts and confrontations with the authorities. Therefore, the study aimed at establishing security implications on hawkers in Kisauni division in Nyali Sub County, Mombasa County, Kenya. Specific objectives of the study were to find out security implications of hawking preventions strategies on hawkers, to assess security implications on various types of hawkers and to establish security implications of policing approaches utilized by the law enforcers to address hawking in Kisauni division.The study was guided by Conflict theory and Control Theory. Mixed Methods research design was used. Random sampling technique was used to draw a sample of 398 hawkers whereas purposive sampling was used to come up with key informants. The data collection methods employed were questionnaire and key informant interviews. Descriptive statistics and thematic analysis were used to analyze quantitative and qualitative data respectively. Statistical Package for Social Sciences was used to generate data analysis tools.  The study established that use of sanctions, arrests and prosecutions as hawkers’ preventive strategies result into increase of insecurity and bring order in the study area. The study also revealed that major security threat on the hawkers was the law enforcement officers’ brutality. Lastly, the study established that County government authority do not use both Public Barraza and community policing as poling approaches in the study area. The study concludes that hawkers’ prevention strategies increase insecurity though result into order in the study area. The study also concludes that law enforcement brutality on hawkers has led to physical injuries, and at times to death in the study area. The study recommends that the County government authority provides proper training to the County inspectorate officers so as to respond to fast changing security situations in a more professional manner. Finally, both the National government and the County government should ensure that hawking zones are constructed to help in proper security management of hawkers within the study area.

Abstract: The study focused on the effect of policies deployed by individual personalities (role models) in the management of cattle rustling in Kenya. The area under study was North Western, Kenya which comprised five counties; Elgeiyo Marakwet, West Pokot, Turkana, Samburu and Baringo which had a total population of 2,980,035 persons vide the Kenya National Population census of 2019. The sample size was 444, determined by Krejcie R.V and Morgan D.W table of 1990. The findings indicated that the community role models had a positive contribution in respect to the management of cattle rustling was concerned. The evidence was made through the exposition of mean scores such as, the efforts contributed to restriction of cattle rustling by role models with a mean score of 1.6, improved school attend by 1.7, re-introduction of farming as an alternative source of livelihood by 1.4; provision of market to readily produced goods by 2.6 and discouraging of killing of people in raids by 2.1. It is concluded that role models championed peaceful co-existence among all the North Rift communities and preached peace, encouraged people to take up alternative sources of livelihoods beside cattle rearing, changed people’s mindsets through supporting education and provided opportunities through scholarships. The study recommends that the affected area role models should visit their community regularly to engage the local people on the importance of seeking alternative means of livelihood.

Abstract: The study was to assess financial management of lunch programme and their influence on learning outcomes in public day secondary schools in Mombasa and Kilifi Counties, Kenya. The research objective was to assess influence of financial management of lunch programme on learning outcomes public day secondary schools in Mombasa and Kilifi Counties, Kenya. The study population consisted of all Counties’ 49 day secondary schools 940 teachers, 49 principals, 49 lunch coordinators and 18,847 students. Simple random sample and stratified random sampling were utilized in the research. The sample for each category of school was also drawn using simple random sampling.The sample size comprised 17 secondary schools, 17 principals, 17 lunch coordinators, 274 teachers and 377 students. This gave a total of six hundred and eighty five respondents from the two Counties. The study's major findings were that financial school lunch program management had a significant influence on realization of learning outcomes. The mixed research approach used in the study was primarily the descriptive survey design, in which quantitative and qualitative data were collected simultaneously.

Abstract: Human activities, climate change and couple with rural poverty have led to increase deforestation in the rural areas and low productivity of the soil in the tropic, the green environment may be difficult to be sustained. There is a need of awareness on how to understand the constraints and challenges of deforestation especially in the studying area. This study therefore assesses the effects of deforestation on the socio-economic activities of the people of Funakaye Local Government Area, Gombe state. A total number of Three hundred and fifty (350) structured questionnaires were administered to the respondents, tools for data collection, structured questionnaires, interviews, field observation that both the descriptive and inferential statistical methods of data analysis were used. The study is able to identify the causes of deforestation perceived by the respondents in the studied area which includes; Over farming activities (21.2%), Fuel wood (29.3%), Charcoal (45.2%), Over grazing (4.3%). The major cause of deforestation is rural poverty about 92%. It also reveals that 74.2% of the respondents use fuel wood as their source of energy while 14.2% use Charcoal, 5.5% use Kerosene, 4.6% use Gas and only 1.5% use Electricity. Due to the reducing availability of forest products in the nearby forest about 93% of the respondents had to buy their daily needs for fuel woods, charcoal, fodder, and small timber, these increase their household expenditures, also resulted into decrease in the household income of the majority. Deforestation increases Soil erosion, desertification, flooding and atmospheric temperature. This study recommends that government should create public awareness on environmental conservation management and provides another source of energy that substitutes fuel woods and charcoals for daily activities.

Abstract: Winston Churchill and Nelson Mandela were great leaders and remain spirited icons in the study of leadership. The two personalities were influential leaders in their respective countries who significantly contributed to their countries' leadership and governance foundations during their eras. Though Winston Churchill and Nelson Mandela were among the most revered leaders up to date, the two had unique leadership styles which made them outstanding in their engagements. As a result of their leadership styles and qualities, they effectively serve as exemplary examples of leadership emanating from diversity and aspects of inclusion, which shows that people can manifest their leadership skills differently. The studies showed that shared leadership attributes include courage, vision, good communication skills, resilience, charisma, risk-taking, decisiveness and determination.

Abstract: The research study focused on the support/effort made by NGO’s in the management of cattle rustling among pastoral communities in Kenya. The general objective was the evaluation of the interface between state and non-state policies in managing cattle rustling among pastoral communities in Kenya. The specific objective was to establish the effect of NGO-based policies in the management of cattle rustling in Kenya.  The area of study was in the Northern Western part of Kenya compromising five counties; Turkana, Baringo, Samburu, West Pokot and Elgeiyo Marakwet.  The total population in this area under focus in terms of people was 2980,035. This was according to the National population census report 0f 2019. The sample size was 444 determined by use of Krejcie, R.V and Morgan D.W, table. The findings show that the NGO’s provided employment to some students after school in the area of study at a mean score of 2.6 supported local residents to access loans to help them build structures at a mean score of 2.5, provided local residents woth ready market for their produce at a mean score of 2.3 and encouraged inter community marriages as one way to discourage relatives from cattle theft at a mean of 1.0, mitigated cattle theft through peace rally’s  interventions at a mean score of 2.0, discourage cattle theft by dissuading the moran’s from the practice at a mean score of 1.6 and provided local residents with farm implements at a mean score of 2.1, offered education on good farming technologies at a mean score of 1.4 while at the same time supporting education of school going children through bursaries at a a mean score of 1.1. From the foregoing statistical findings it was imperative to advise the government of Kenya to involve and partner with NGO in her management strategies geared towards containment of cattle rustling among pastoral communities in Kenya. The NGO’S touched key elements instructions which could fast-trade economic transformation hence enabling the pastoral communities to embrace agriculture and education and slowly abandon retrogressive cattle rustling practices altogether. The encouragement of inter-marriages and sedentary settlement are precursors to serious farming of livelihood crops geared towards socio-economic transformation.

Abstract: The purpose of the study was to examine the influence of monitoring and evaluation of human capacity on implementation of infrastructure projects in public secondary school in Kakamega County, Kenya. The target population was principals, Board of Management chairpersons, Parents Association chairpersons and Sub County Education officers. Stratified sampling and purposive sampling technique were used to select respondents. A sample size of 316 respondents was selected comprising of 101 principals, 101 Board of Management chairpersons, 101 Parents Association chairpersons and 13 Sub County Education officers. Primary data was collected from the respondents using questionnaires and interview schedule. Qualitative data was analyzed qualitatively using content analysis based on meanings and implications emanating from respondent’s information. Data from questionnaires was analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistical methods. Descriptive statistics consisted of frequencies, percentages, mean, and standard deviation. Inferential statistics consisted linear and multiple regression analysis. Findings reveled that the linear regression model, (R2 = .207) showed that human capacity account for 20.7% variation in implementation of infrastructure projects. The study hypothesized that there is no significant effect of human capacity and implementation of infrastructure projects. The findings showed that there was a positive significant effect of human capacity and implementation of infrastructure projects (β3=0.416 and p value <0.05). Therefore, an increase in human capacity led to an increase in implementation of infrastructure projects. The null hypothesis was rejected. Therefore, human capacity had a significant influence on implementation of infrastructure projects. The study recommended the need to invest in ongoing training and skill development for individuals involved in project management and implementation. Recognizing the public works officer as a technical adviser on project management is essential, and support for their role should continue. Establishing a structured and continuous human capacity development program can enhance project management skills and ensure that all stakeholders are well-equipped to handle various challenges that may arise during implementation.

Abstract: Democracy is, according to Abraham Lincoln, "government of the people by the people and for the people." The objective of the Constitutional Council is to protect fundamental rights through the Constitution. The ideal of democracy is that the laws passed are properly implemented with the support of a legitimate institution for the proper management of power. Thus, the Constitutional Council of France was established by the Constitution of October 4, 1958, which was then revised on July 23, 2008, in Article 61, which stipulates that "the Constitutional Council shall examine laws before their adoption" and that the President of the Republic may consult the Constitutional Council. Article 61 demonstrates the powers conferred on the Constitutional Council in the French democratic system. The main objective is to determine whether the Constitutional Council exercises absolute control over all the activities of the state. If so, what may be the shortcomings of the Constitutional Council in the French democratic system? The critical function of the Constitutional Council in France is examined in this article through an analysis of its consultative and litigious role in the democratic system, as well as an illustration of the disadvantages that could hinder the authority of the Constitutional Council in France.

Résumé: Selon Abraham Lincoln, la démocratie se définit comme « le gouvernement du peuple par le peuple et pour le peuple ». La mission du Conseil constitutionnel est de garantir la protection des droits fondamentaux en vertu de la Constitution. Pour garantir une bonne gestion du pouvoir, il est essentiel que les lois votées soient correctement mises en œuvre, avec le soutien d'une institution légitime. C'est ainsi que le Conseil constitutionnel français, institué par la Constitution du 4 octobre 1958 qui a ensuite été révisée le 23 juillet 2008 en son article 61, dispose que « le Conseil constitutionnel examine les lois avant leur adoption ». L'article 61 démontre les pouvoirs conférés au Conseil constitutionnel dans le système démocratique français. L'objectif principal de cet article est de déterminer si le Conseil constitutionnel exerce un contrôle absolu sur toutes les activités de l'État. Si oui, quelles peuvent être les lacunes du Conseil constitutionnel dans le système démocratique français ? La fonction critique du Conseil constitutionnel en France est examinée dans cet article à travers une analyse de son rôle consultatif et contentieux dans le système démocratique, ainsi que l'illustration des inconvénients qui pourraient entraver l'autorité du Conseil constitutionnel en France.

Abstract: Foreign language learning is a complicated process impacted by several factors, including emotional experiences and motivational aspects. Understanding the interaction between these factors is essential for optimizing the language learning environment and strengthening learners’ proficiency. To date, limited research has specifically examined the correlational patterns between enjoyment, anxiety, and boredom among Turkish EFL learners, particularly in terms of potential gender differences. This study aims to address this gap by exploring the relationship between these affective factors and their potential variations based on gender. To obtain the results of this correlational study, the three emotions scales: Foreign language enjoyment (Botes et al., 2021), Foreign language boredom (Li et al., 2023) and Foreign language classroom anxiety (Botes et al., 2022) were administered to 69 Turkish learners of English as a foreign language. The correlational data were obtained to see the connection between foreign language enjoyment, anxiety and boredom.

Abstract: Al Jazeera is popular Arabic news networks. As a result of its worldwide implications, news coverage of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict is one of the most important and closely watched issues in Jordan. This study aims to investigate Jordanian's reliance on Al-Jazeera coverage of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict through: first, the extent to which the Jordanians rely on Al-Jazeera in its coverage of the conflict, and second, the periods during which the Jordanians follow the coverage. A questionnaire and a sample were used that included 200 Jordanians 100 males and 100 females, based on the media framing theory. The results showed a variation in the extent to which the Jordanians depend on Al-Jazeera's coverage, as it was found that the majority depend on the channel in its media and news coverage. The results also revealed that the evening period is the most watched period for the channel’s coverage of the conflict.

Abstract: This study explored the Saudi special education male teachers’ views about the experience of their Deaf and Hard of Hearing children (DHH) in inclusive schools. The research questions guided the exploration. The first is what are the perceptions of teachers of children who are DHH of inclusive education? Second, what are the challenges and difficulties teachers of children who are DHH face daily? Third, what are the teacher’s views, suggestions, and visions for improving the current inclusive education for children who are DHH? This qualitative interpretive study recruited twenty-one teachers of children who are DHH in general inclusive primary schools as participants who took part in semi-structured interviews. The researcher adopted the inductive analysis method to analyse the transcripts of the interviews. In addition, the study employed the thematic analysis approach suggested by Braun & Clarke (2006). Data analysis generated a main theme, that concluded three subthemes, that reflects how the teachers perceive children who are DHH’s experience at inclusive schools. They suggested that the children’s experiences were affected by language delay resulting from hearing impairment and the diagnostic process in Saudi Arabia that determines the educational placement. Teachers also suggested that public classrooms are the best placement for many children who are hard of hearing (HH).
