Abstract: Electronic sourcing is a digital procurement method that allows organizations to source goods and services through online platforms. This approach leverages digital tools to facilitate vendor selection, negotiation, bidding, and other procurement activities, promoting efficiency, transparency, and cost-effectiveness in the tendering process.  Despite the advantages, many public organizations have been slow to adopt e-sourcing, particularly in countries like Kenya, where the digital infrastructure for e-sourcing is improving but not yet fully integrated across public sectors. The purpose of study was to establish the adoption elecronic sourcing (e-sourcing) and its effect on tendering process in public universities in Kenya. The study wsa grounded on  Diffusion of Innovation Theory. The study employed descriptive research design that aimed to gather evidence through analysis in order to provide a description of the study population.  The target population included 136 potential respondents from all  34 public chartered universities in Kenya targeting  heads of procurement, heads of stores,  heads of finance, and heads of ICT, who provided valuable insights based on their expert knowledge and experience in the application of electronic procurement systems. The study employed Slovin's formula to draw a sample size of 102 repondents. Primary data for the study was obtained through a structured questionnaire where 90 respondents completed them and returned for analysis. Data collected was scrutinized for consistency, accuracy, completeness, and uniformity in preparation for analysis. Data was coded and analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) for descriptive and inferential statistical and the findings were presented in tables. Results of the Model summary indicates  R² value of 0.417 which means that approximately 41.7% of the variance in the effectiveness of the tendering process can be explained by e-sourcing. The results of regression, reveal that e-sourcing has a p-value = 0.000 and since the p- value is < 0.05, the null hypothesis was rejected. The study concluded that adoption of e-sourcing has statistically significant effect on tendering process in public universities in Kenya. Based on the regression analysis of e-sourcing and its effectiveness on the tendering process, the study recommendations that organizations should allocate resources to acquire and implement advanced e-sourcing platforms and tools because these technologies can streamline the procurement process, enhance supplier interactions, and lead to better pricing and quality.

Abstract: The National Education Policy 2020 (NEP-2020) reconceptualizes the Indian education system by placing teachers at the fulcrum of educational transformation. This reflective article explores the teacher’s identity as a multifaceted entity, far beyond the conventional role of knowledge transmission. Drawing on NEP-2020, UNESCO’s Reimagining Our Futures Together (2021), OECD’s Learning Compass 2030 and national frameworks such as NCF-SE 2023 and NCFTE 2009, the reflection highlights how teachers today are expected to be facilitators, mentors, curriculum designers, inclusive practitioners, digital navigators, socio-emotional guides, community leaders, researchers and lifelong learners. NEP-2020 underscores that “teachers will be at the heart of the learning process” (MoE, 2020, p. 22) and international frameworks similarly emphasize their evolving, adaptive and transformative roles. The article elaborates the emerging parameters that define the contemporary teachers: pedagogical innovation, reflective practice, inclusive engagement, technological adaptability, ethical leadership, socio-emotional competence and global citizenship orientation. These parameters reveal that the teacher’s role extends across intellectual, emotional, social, cultural and technological domains. The article concludes that teacher preparation and continuous professional development must evolve to cultivate these multidimensional professional capacities, enabling teachers to become catalysts for holistic learning and national development in the knowledge creation and sharing era.

Abstract: This qualitative systematic literature review examines the role of extracurricular activities in promoting students’ holistic development within schools and universities. The study addresses the ongoing question of how participation in extracurricular and co-curricular programs influences both academic and non-academic outcomes. The purpose of this review is to synthesize existing evidence on the benefits, challenges, and best practices associated with extracurricular engagement. Using a systematic approach to identify and analyze peer-reviewed studies, the review highlights that participation in extracurricular activities enhances academic performance and supports the development of essential life skills, including leadership, communication, time management, and interpersonal competence. Key findings also reveal persistent challenges such as unequal access, limited resources, time constraints, and concerns about potential academic distractions. Despite these barriers, the literature consistently supports the integration of well-designed extracurricular programs as a means of promoting balanced educational experiences. The review concludes by emphasizing the need for inclusive, well-resourced, and student-centered extracurricular offerings that contribute to comprehensive student growth across educational levels.

Abstract: Postpartum Depression is a common maternal mood psychopathology characterized intense sadness, lack of enjoyment in life, suicide and infanticide. Religious coping and problem-solving ability are implicated in lessen or worsen depression. This study examined the relationship between religious coping, problem solving ability and postpartum depression among postpartum mothers attending specialist hospital Gashua, Yobe state Nigeria. The study adopts descriptive cross section research design using convenience sampling of 120 postpartum depressed mothers. Psychological Measure of Islamic Religiousness, Social Problem-Solving Inventory- Revised Form and Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale were used in measuring religious coping, problem solving ability and postpartum depression respectively. The linear multiple regression analysis of study revealed a significant negative relationship between positive religious coping (PRC) and postpartum depression (PPD), but a significant positive relationship between negative religious coping (NRC) and postpartum depression. Among the seven predicting variables PRC and NRC are the variables that best predict the criterion with the value (ß = -.405, t = -5.338, p = .000 <0.001), then NRC with a value (ß = .358, t = 4.696, p =.000 < 0.001). Then, the avoidance problem solving style (APSS) came nest with a value (ß = .141, t = 2.052, p = .042 <0.05). The findings from this study have implications for the health care delivery system of all tiers of government, the mental health care policy makers, health care facilities, religious bodies, counsellors/therapist. The findings recommended improve social problem solving while caring for patients with postpartum depression. Strategies that will increase positive religious coping and reduce negative religious coping must be emphasized to boost mental health among health workers.
